Publishing converts a draft into a locked, read-only document and marks it as the current active version. Once published, the document is visible in your My documents list with a Published status badge.

Publish from My documents

  1. Go to My documents (/sops).
  2. Hover over a draft row to reveal the menu.

Once a document is published, you cannot edit it directly. To make changes, you must create a revision. See Revisions for details.

Viewing a published document

The published view (/sops/:id) renders all sections, steps, and sub-steps in order in a clean read-only layout. From this view you can:
  • Click Embed to create or copy a public shareable link.
  • Click Export to download the document as a Word file.
  • Click ← My documents at the top left to return to your document list.

Archiving documents

Published documents can be archived when they are no longer active. Archive from the menu in My documents or from the Archive button in the editor top bar.
Archived documents are hidden from your active document lists but are still accessible in the Archives section. They display a banner at the top of their view that reads “This document has been archived and is no longer active.”
