Assigning a co-author
A co-author can edit a document but does not own it. This is useful when a subject-matter expert writes the content and a separate person manages the document lifecycle.Select Assign Co-Author
Click Assign Co-Author. If a co-author is already set, the option reads Change Co-Author.
The Shared with me list has the same search, filter, and sort controls as My documents. Co-authors can use the same ⋯ action menu to edit, publish, or take other actions on documents shared with them.
Transferring document ownership
Transferring ownership moves a document out of your My documents list and into the new owner’s list. The new owner takes full responsibility for the document going forward.Individual transfer
Select the new owner
Choose a team member from the picker. The current owner is excluded from the list.
Bulk transfer (Admin only)
When you need to reassign multiple documents from a team member — for example, before removing them — use the bulk transfer flow in Settings.Open the reassign modal
Find the member whose documents you want to transfer and click Reassign documents.
Select documents
The modal lists all documents owned by that member. Check the ones you want to transfer.
